Team Champion Model

How It Works

We're inviting a select group of community leaders to serve as Team Champions — the founding group who make this event possible and set the tone for years to come.

1
Sponsor Your Team
Cover your share of the $15,000 in event costs — approximately $600–$625 per Champion. Funds can come from your own giving, your business, or sponsors you recruit from your network.
2
Build Your Team
Invite 3–4 people from your network to join you on the course — colleagues, friends, clients, neighbors. Anyone who would enjoy a great day of golf and should know MFN's story.
3
Enjoy the Day
18 holes of scramble golf at Shuksan Golf Club in Bellingham — one of the finest courses in Whatcom County — followed by a community dinner with up to 200 guests.
4
Be Part of the Moment
At dinner, an experienced fundraiser makes a compelling ask — anchored by the confirmed $50,000 Concordia matching gift. Every dollar given that evening is doubled on the spot.

About Miracle Food Network

The Mission Behind the Game

Miracle Food Network recovers surplus food and redirects it to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity — while strengthening community relationships through volunteer service and collaboration.

Through partnerships with farmers, grocers, distributors, restaurants, churches, and community organizations, MFN reduces food waste while providing practical support to neighbors across Whatcom County.

MFN believes communities are strongest when people from different backgrounds, faith traditions, and civic organizations work together in service to others.

The Story Behind Our Logo

Every element of the MFN logo carries meaning — it's not just a mark, it's the mission made visual.

Red — Intensity, urgency, and purpose. Food insecurity is real and it demands action.
The Arrow — Forward motion with intention and direction. Not drifting — moving.
The Triangle Mosaic — Many different people: donors, volunteers, farmers, drivers, families. Each piece distinct. All moving together in one direction.
Open to Everyone

Double Your Impact

You don't need to be on the course to make a difference. Our Summer Match campaign is open to anyone who believes in MFN's mission — and right now, every dollar you give is matched dollar-for-dollar by Concordia Network.
